SmokeTastic is dedicated to finding solutions to quit smoking and one way is through electronic cigarettes. Our site looks at the best e cigarettes and other vaping devices on the market to make it as easy as possible to quit smoking quickly and efficiently. We do try to support students through their student life, and one way we thought, was by creating a scholarship. We do believe in helping passionate and dedicated students throughout their student life.

Vaping is becoming a very social habit, we do not support people trying e cigs or any other vaping device if they are currently a non-smoker, we concentrate on helping users transit from smoking to vaping and we try to review all the different types of products on the market, provide useful research and also show the best vape deals we can find online.

 

Scholarship Award

Under the ST Scholarship Program, we shall be awarding one scholarship award of $1000 to the winning candidate which will be determined by our judges and possibly published on our site. Our scholarship is aimed at helping all students, from all walks of life, afford the rising costs in education fees, books, and living costs. The scholarship will be made payable directly to the university/school that the winners are from by cheque.

 

What are the Eligibility Requirements

We are open to any current college-going student, including incoming freshman enrolled in any educational program to apply. We do ask however, students must be enrolled at an accredited college, university or trade school. No major or trade requirements. We have opened the scholarship up to students to apply from all countries. We do also ask that the students have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

 

Details of the Essay

In order to apply for our Scholarship, you only have to share your ideas and vision for a smoke-free world!
As an applicant, you must submit your completed essay (500–1,500 words). Here are some examples of the questions you may want to answer:

  • Why do people still choose to smoke in society?
  • Is vaping a new problem with younger smokers and potentially introducing them to smoking?
  • Would a smoke-free world really improve society?
  • What message do you have for current smokers thinking about vaping?
  • Is vaping addiction a real concern?

This is just an example of topics, so feel free you use your own creative skills to produce your essay.
The essay must be signed with your full name, along with your email address, phone number, and permanent address.
 

Scholarship Deadlines

The deadline for our initial scholarship is set for April 30, 2018 and the winner shall be notified in May 2018 by email and published right here on this site.
 

How We Choose The Winner

The winning essay will be based on the originality, content, and readability, we are looking for a well organized and logical essay.

 

Application Process

You must submit your unique, interesting and relevant essay of 500-1500 words to scholarships@smoketastic.com by midnight of the scholarship deadline. Only one (1) submission per student is allowed.

If you’re selected as the winner, they’ll ask for your IRS Form W-9, a copy of your driver’s license, a headshot photograph, copyright assignment, college or high school transcripts and a publicity/liability release. This is only if you win so for now just submit your essay, they’ll contact you for the other items later.

The Alert Scholarship

Alert Magazine has a $500 scholarship for high school seniors living in the states of Colorado, Idaho, Alaska, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington or Wyoming. They require you have at least a 2.5/4.0 GPA and have plans to go to college. Write a 650-800 word essay on any personal experience from you or someone you know who’s had to deal with drug and/or alcohol abuse. Detail what you’ve learned and your opinion on how it was handled. Your essay must have proper structure (thesis statement, supporting paragraphs, conclusion) and should use proper grammar and punctuation. One Stop Treatment Scholarship

Since weight gain is a huge concern for those who smoke when deciding to quit, it only seems right to add an easy scholarship from a company selling weight-loss supplements. OneStopTreatment.com awards $1,000 to applicants who can write a 300-500 word essay detailing one of the products they sell and how it might benefit someone trying to lose weight. The deadline for this application is June 1. Simply copy and paste your application to the form provided from the website and wait to be notified if you’ve won.
